Pictures for Grandma

New Christmas Eve Tradition

Two years ago was our first Christmas together. It was also my first Christmas away from home. While Scott was busy with finals he became SICK. One of the Doctors we took him to said he had never seen anyone that sick. I thought he was going to die and I was so scared. Well after 4 doctor/ hospital visits over a week and a half (one on Christmas eve) we found out Scott had Mono and would recover eventually. He was sick for over a month and lost 15 lbs.

Well the night of December 23, this year, I started running a fever. Thursday morning it was 101.3 and we decided it was time to go to the dr. Thank goodness for the Riverwoods Urgent care. We have now spent 2 of the 3 Christmas eves that we have been together there. I can't tell you how appreciative I am to Scott's family for taking care of Ainsley while I just lay there. Good news though- they got me on antibiotics and I'm feeling much better. But lets not let that tradition continue.

The best gifts come in small packages

Merry Christmas!

cuz I can't get enough of her

And if you are looking at my blog... you must not be able to either

My two favorites in the whole world!

We Love Grandma yes sir-ree

She loves us and so you see, we are a happy family!

My mom came to stay with us when we brought Ainsley home. She stayed 6 days then Scott's mom came to take care of us. She just left, but will be back in a few days, in the mean time I don't know what we are going to do.

Scott's Grandma lives just a few blocks away, she came to visit us in the hospital, and then again when we got home.

She's Here!!!!!!!!

At 6 pounds 4 ounces, 19 inches long and beautiful brown hair our baby girl is finally here, and on her due date none the less. Here is the recap of our day. Early this morning Wendy decided to send a mass text to some family members to tell them she was not having the baby yet so she wouldn't have to answer any calls regarding the subject. She also told her mom on the phone that nothing was happening, this was around 8:30. By 11 Wendy was having some pain in the lower abdominal region and by the time I stopped in at 12 for a quick lunch she was having contractions. I was just planning on meeting her at her doctors appointment at 3:45 when I got off of work, but a text at 2:30 informed me that she was in too much pain, so I picked her up and we headed to the doctor. Their we found out that she was dilated to a 6 and he told us we just better head to the hospital. So off we headed to the hospital, checking in around 5 PM. Then, finally after two and a half more hours she gave birth to our beautiful girl. I do have to brag about my wife though who went through the whole process with out any medication and with about 45 minutes left until the birth she ripped her IV out (accidentally of course, but she wasn't sad to see it go). Wendy, I'm so proud of you and love you so much. I know you will be such a wonderful mother.

Mitch got his mission call: Brasilia Brazil. He does not leave until the end of March, which will be nice because we want him here when we bless our baby and we will have blessed her by then for sure.

Poll

We are having a poll-contest-guessing game. Leave a comment with your guess for our baby's date of birth, weight and a name suggestion. Then if you win...you win...and you can tell everybody that you won. Good Luck!!

Unemployment, disability, maternity leave, sabbatical. What ever you want to call it. I'm there. I have no where to go today... except the Dr. and nothing to do...except all the things I need to get done before the baby gets here (and I have quite a list). However I did make breakfast for Scott this morning, and I painted my finger nails. I may not end up as board as I thought I'd be. Take your time baby... Mom is having fun relaxing, and once you get here, the real work begins. But for now... I need a nap

Ok. Let me review:

1. For starters I have not had this baby. We still have 9 days to my due date which means that I could go as long as 23 more days. I still feel pretty good. I'm really tired though and have slept a TON this last week. I work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week and then I'm done. Which could be good or bad. I can rest and get some things done, but I might get bored while I wait. We'll see how it goes.

2. Here are the pictures of Halloween. We bobbed for apples in our kitchen sink. Super fun.

JD and Liz as a spoon and fork

Pumpkin pizza- just the shape- not the taste.

3. We met Mary and her family in Salt Lake this week end to see the lights. Mary had not had room to bring her stroller so we brought ours. We ended up having to wait for them so we pushed an empty stroller around temple square. We got some funny looks. The sister missionaries told us it was creepy. Then we run into my cousin and a friend of Scott's from his mission, they were really confused about our stroller. Try it sometime. It's funner then you think

What a stud!

4. We went to what will probably be the last BYU football game we will go to as "students" (I'm not really a student but Scott is so you get the picture). What a way to end!! Tied 20-20 at the end of regulation. And then wining 26-23 in over time.

I have always wanted to rush the field and last night they let people... so we did

5. I made this dress (out of scraps from a dress I made for myself 2 years ago) as a practice for the blessing dress. This just reaffirms my complex to never throw anything away, you don't know when you will need it.

6. Last week-end I had a baby shower here- naturally I forgot to take pictures

7. Doug, Julie, Shelley, Luke, and Abby came to visit last week-end. No pictures but we had fun. We ate at an Indian restaurant that was super good. We watched "Care Bears". And now Luke thinks I am so cool because I have marble works!

Baby Shower

My sisters threw a baby shower for me in Idaho last week. Thank you Thank you girls. It was lots of fun. However I have to give you a hard time Shelley because there are 17 pictures of Abby from this party and NONE of me. I know her two little teeth and chubbiness are super cute, and I don't really want pictures of me right now, but "its my party"! Anyway thanks to all who attended.
Thank you Holly for all your hard work. The first thing Kristen asked when I told them we were pregnant was if they could do the baby shower. thank you again for doing all that.

GO Cougars!

We have loved going to the football games again this year. Notice our cool hats!!

Shelley and her roommates came down a couple weeks ago to go to the game. We hung out and had lots of fun. Notice my cute sticker/tattoo and new shirt. Scott spoils me!

We were home this week-end. I was sitting at the kitchen table when Mitchell walked in. Quote "Wendy, you are great with child" Thanks Mitch. You always know just what to say.

Our little girl had the hiccups this morning. It was the first time I had felt them, and Scott could even feel them too. Poor girl, but way cute to feel.

I love being an Aunt...

And I can't wait to be a Mom!

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Today in my 27 week mark, it is also 3 months to the day that our baby is due. Sometimes that makes me so excited, and sometimes it makes me think "WHAT HAVE I DONE!?????!!!" We aren't ready to be parents... but ready or not here we come! That must be why I have to be pregnant for 9 months, simple to be ready, also by that time, I understand that I'll be so huge and miserable that I'll want to have this baby at all costs. I'll spare you a picture of my growing tummy but I'll just put it this way, I've given up on my regular pants. Thank you Holly and Julie for letting me borrow cloths. I still wear my normal shirts (hopefully not grossing anybody out with my big tummy) My grandma swears that with her first baby she didn't have to wear maternity clothes until 6 weeks before my uncle was born. Well I made it 13 weeks to D day, but my jeans just don't cut it any longer. Anyway all in all I feel great. I'm tired more now again, like I was at first. But I still can function. We have had some dear friends give us gifts already, I'll try to get pictures of those up soon, but right now.... I'm going to bed.

Justification

I'm not a super neat freak. But since I have been pregnant I have like to clean thing out. Here is the problem: now we can't find anything. That is why I usually just don't clean things up, then I know exactly were it is. It's when I "put things away" that they get lost.

Lonestar

We went to a Lone Star concert last night. It was SO cool, even Scott had fun and liked it, which is saying something for a country concert. Here are some clips for ya to enjoy!

Happy Anniversary

We celebrated our second anniversary this week. Scott had to turn in a 12 page paper that day, and take a test (which he got a 97%, on by the way). Also we figured that our trip would count for most our partying this year. But we did go out to dinner, and by "out" I mean to the back yard. But we had fun none the less. 2 years! wow! I can't believe it has been that long! Time flies!

Fourth of July

This is only a month late, but hey, here it is.
We were home for the 4th and we also talked Julie into bringing her little family home too. It helps my baby hungriness to be around little kids. Anyway after the parades Dad took us out to Coldren Lynn. It is the most narrow part of the Snake River there was so much water going to fast, I can't believe that people really try to boat through it.

"Don't even think about it buster"

Too cute!

Scott is so cute with Abby, he is going to make such a good daddy!

We did a BBQ and fire works at Moms with a bunch of the cousins! It sure was fun!
Hope everyone had a good 4th too!!!!!
